X-ray Certified Dental Assistant My Kids Dental Center Silver Spring, MD Job Details Part-time Up to $30 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Free parking Paid time off Opportunities for advancement Paid sick time Qualifications Patient monitoring HIPAA Medical scheduling Records management Dental Assisting Full Job Description Overview We are a growing pediatric dental practice in search of an experienced DA with active Maryland license and x-ray certification and preferably with prior pediatric dentistry experience. The ideal candidate will both work with our doctor in the office as well as helping provide care to our patients needing sedation dentistry through our partnership with Shady Grove Children's Surgical Center. The schedule is 3-4 days per week for the remainder of 2026 and we are looking to expand to 4 days per week regularly after the new year. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection prevention management protocols Take high-quality dental x-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment while adhering to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Assist dentist chairside Manage patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards Monitor vital signs and assist with patient management to ensure comfort and safety throughout appointments Educate patients on dental procedures, oral health practices, and post-treatment care to promote optimal outcomes Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining a welcoming environment Requirements Valid x-ray certification Maryland DA license Own transportation (preferred) Experience with special needs children (preferred) Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
