Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our new state of the art dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and administrative skills, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in various dental systems and procedures. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment through proper infection control practices. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse, as needed. Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns patients may have. Assist with prosthodontics procedures, ensuring that patients are comfortable throughout their treatment. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling billing inquiries. Maintain compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting. Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Experience in dental reception duties is a plus. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
