Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working with both children and adults, and who possesses strong organizational skills. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and patient comfort. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for examinations and treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as needed. Manage patient records using dental software systems, including Eaglesoft. Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries as a dental receptionist when required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional pediatric dentistry services. Requirements Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting from an accredited program. Experience with medical coding and medical imaging is a plus. Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental management software. Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of radiographic techniques. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, especially in pediatrics. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety standards.
