Overview Join our dynamic dental team as an Experienced Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting efficient clinical operations. You will be responsible for assisting with a variety of dental procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management standards Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency Take high-quality dental x-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient safety through proper use of dental x-ray equipment and radiology protocols Manage patient records accurately using patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring all medical records are up-to-date and confidential in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging when necessary to support comprehensive patient care Process dental instruments efficiently, ensuring aseptic technique is maintained throughout all sterilization procedures and infection control practices are followed rigorously Support front desk operations by coordinating patient appointments, managing medical records, and assisting with general reception duties as a dental receptionist when needed Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for seamless patient data management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry disciplines including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and implant procedures Expertise in dental equipment operation including 3D scanners, dental sterilizers, X-ray units, and other clinical tools Excellent understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining strict aseptic technique standards Skilled in taking accurate dental x-rays and medical imaging with attention to detail for diagnostic purposes Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare settings for effective communication within the team Experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with a focus on patient care and clinical excellence Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact patients' smiles while working in a supportive team dedicated to excellence.
