The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within our practice, providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to oral surgery, endodontics, and four-handed dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix Ascend. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Monitor patient vital signs and ensure their comfort throughout procedures. Adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff. Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care. Skills Proficient in dental assisting techniques with hands-on experience in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and four-handed dentistry. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix Ascend is preferred. Strong knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Ability to take vital signs accurately and monitor patient comfort levels. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records.
