Dental Assistant Wanted We're sad to see one of our wonderful assistants leave, but incredibly excited for them as they begin the next chapter of their career in hygiene school! Now, we're looking for someone special to join our team. Who We're Looking For We are looking for an experienced dental assistant who is ready to become part of a fun, hardworking dental team. Our goal is to create a pleasant, positive dental experience for both our patients and our employees. We're looking for someone who: Has excellent people and communication skills Works well as part of a professional team Is organized, dependable, and attentive to detail Brings a positive attitude to work each day Takes pride in providing excellent patient care Understands the importance of creating a comfortable environment for patients who may feel anxious or stressed about dental treatment I am passionate about making the dental experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible for our patients and I expect that same philosophy from everyone on our team.
Responsibilities Your responsibilities may include:
Creating a positive environment for both patients and employees Assisting the dentist with four-handed dentistry Undertaking laboratory tasks as instructed Providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keeping treatment rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments Maintaining accurate patient records Assisting with payment and checkout procedures Following proper infection-control and sterilization procedures Supporting the entire dental team wherever needed Ideal Qualifications & Skills We would love to find someone with: Proven experience as a dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures The ability to select and set up the instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures An understanding of health and safety regulations Good computer skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational skills Reliability and a strong work ethic A high school diploma Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred Additional certifications or training are a plus, including RDA and/or X-ray certification Most Importantly… We're looking for the right person , not just the right résumé.
