Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant dental team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient dental procedures across a variety of specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their treatment. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures with precision and care, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments, dental materials, and necessary supplies while maintaining strict aseptic technique. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper patient positioning and safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral hygiene. Support the front desk team by performing dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation efficiently. Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and adherence to OSHA guidelines. Assist with advanced procedures involving 3D scanners or other digital imaging technology for accurate diagnostics. Collaborate seamlessly with the team to deliver high-quality pediatric dentistry services tailored to young patients' needs. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting, preferably with exposure to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and vital signs monitoring. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach. Experience working with digital tools like 3D scanners or other advanced diagnostic equipment is a plus.
