The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various dental procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilizing instruments and managing supplies. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Document patient medical histories and maintain accurate medical records. Utilize Open Dental software for patient management, scheduling, and medical documentation. Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-procedure care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental setting is preferred. Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures. Familiarity with medical coding and documentation processes is advantageous. Proficiency in using dental software such as Open Dental, Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred. Ability to operate medical imaging equipment effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications are highly desirable.
