Dental Assistant Sebewaing, MI 48759 Full-time Full-time Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient communication, and clinical support will help us maintain the highest standards of hygiene, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient care Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs during treatments Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental wellness Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic for scheduling, documentation, and medical coding Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics Experience with medical documentation, medical records management, and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance Skilled in taking X-rays and operating dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners for comprehensive diagnostics Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes within a dental clinic setting Ability to perform general dentistry support tasks with precision in endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and other specialties Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist to coordinate appointments and assist patients effectively Embark on a rewarding career where your enthusiasm for dental health makes a real difference!
