Job Description

Icon Implant and Dental Center is a modern implant, cosmetic, and general dentistry practice opening in July in the Southfield area. We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Dental Assistant who is excited to grow with the practice and help build an exceptional patient experience from day one. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, organized, and committed to providing outstanding patient care. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during clinical procedures Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards Take dental radiographs and assist with digital workflows Support patient care and education Maintain accurate clinical records Answer phones and assist with scheduling when needed Assist with insurance verification and treatment coordination Help with front desk duties and patient communication Utilize dental software systems, including Open Dental Work collaboratively with the dental team to support daily operations
Qualifications:
Dental assisting experience preferred X-ray certification preferred Experience with Open Dental is a plus, but not required Excellent communication and teamwork skills Positive attitude and strong attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn and grow with the practice

Job Type:
Full-time (Part-time applicants may also be considered)
Pay:
$16.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Location:
Southfield, Michigan Qualifications Proven experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding such as
CPT, ICD-9/10
codes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, or Athenahealth is highly preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and medical billing practices including Medicare and Medicaid processes. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills such as 10 key typing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in bilingual settings if applicable. Prior clinic experience involving medical administrative support, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and medical records management is essential. Pay:
$19.00 - $26.00 per hour
