Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform chairside assisting duties while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic environment. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy is essential. Experience with medical documentation, medical coding, and managing medical records is beneficial. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively. Understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction.
