If you're passionate about patient care, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to help create confident, healthy smiles, we'd love to meet you. This position is based in our Warren and Southgate, Michigan locations and offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career while working alongside a supportive team dedicated to providing exceptional orthodontic care. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures, including bonding, banding, archwire changes, and appliance placement/removal. Take high-quality digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and dental impressions or digital scans. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following OSHA and infection control standards. Educate patients and parents on orthodontic treatment, oral hygiene, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions. Assist with clear aligner treatment, retainer delivery, and other orthodontic procedures. Accurately document patient treatment, progress notes, and clinical information in the electronic health record. Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a friendly, welcoming experience for every patient and family. Work collaboratively with doctors and team members to ensure efficient patient flow and an outstanding patient experience. Qualifications Previous orthodontic assisting experience preferred (dental assisting experience considered). Dental radiography certification, or the ability to obtain certification. Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working with both children and adults while creating a positive, reassuring environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently. Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the practice. Why Join Our Team?
