$23.00•$36.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule:

Monday•Thursday, 7:30 AM•4:00 PM Reports to: Dr. Kiefer Miller Responsibilities Patient Care & Preparation Greet and escort patients to the treatment area, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all materials are ready prior to patient arrival Chair-side assisting during a wide range of procedures including fillings, extractions, crown preparations, root canals (endo), dentures, and clear aligners Provide post-operative care instructions to patients clearly and professionally Obtaining digital X-rays Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and treatment notes Clinical & Sterilization Duties Follow strict sterilization and disinfection protocols in compliance with OSHA standards Assist with fabricating temporary restorations, impressions, and lab case coordination Maintain dental equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions as needed Keep treatment rooms organized and fully stocked between patients Administrative & Team Support Support front office operations including scheduling, patient check-in, and administrative tasks during downtime Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care, workflow, and office efficiency Anticipate the needs of the doctor and patients to ensure smooth, efficient care Represent the practice in a professional, positive, and cooperative manner at all times Qualifications (New Grads Welcome) High school diploma or GED required; diploma or certificate from an accredited dental assisting program preferred Current Minnesota Dental Assistant License preferred; if not yet licensed, must obtain registration/certification within 6 months of hire or have worked 1-2 years as an unlicensed dental assistant Current CPR and dental X-ray certification required Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards Comfort working with a variety of dental procedures and adapting to changing duties Team-first attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively What We Offer Competitive hourly wage with merit-based increases 401(k) & Roth 401(k) with Safe Harbor employer matching (100% match up to 1%, then 50% match on the next 5%) — eligible from day one Dental treatment benefit for employee and eligible family members after 90 days Short-term disability insurance through AFLAC (50% premium covered) after 90 days $150 annual uniform benefit after 90 days Paid holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and Day After Super Bowl Flexible Time Off (FTO) accrual — vacation, sick, and personal time in one bank Minnesota Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) coverage Health Insurance Options Available•After Initial Probation Period CPR certification reimbursement Annual Star of the North dental conference — hotel and registration fully covered Team CE bonding trip every 3 years (cruise March 2026, next trip 2029) Health insurance negotiable upon completion of first year Physical Requirements Standing approximately 80% of the shift, sitting 20% Frequent bending, twisting, and position changes during patient care Ability to lift and transfer equipment and supplies (minimum 35 lbs) Exceptional hand-eye coordination for use of dental instruments and tools Strong near vision required for mixing materials and working in small spaces Moderate noise levels from dental and lab equipment Open to non-licensed dental assistant candidates with at least 1 year of assisting experience.
