Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Licensed Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, patient care, and administrative tasks. As a Licensed Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services, supporting clinical procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining an aseptic environment. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring confidentiality under HIPAA standards. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient assessments. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Support infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to OSHA guidelines. Collaborate with the dental team to deliver four-handed dentistry efficiently, enhancing patient comfort and treatment flow. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside support, medical imaging, and aseptic technique. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding relevant to dental procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients. Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and X-ray machines safely and effectively. Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic setting. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages and coordinating with the dental team.
