Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. We work Monday through Thursday 7-3:30 pm (summer hours) and 8-4:30 pm (winter hours). The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to perform various tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate medical records and manage patient information systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions and provide coronal polishing. Perform basic administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Support prosthodontics procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments. Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with medical coding, dental terminology, and medical imaging is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control practices is essential for maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members are crucial for success in this role.
