We are looking for an individual who is comfortable with the Dolphin PM system and has experience with adjustments, bonding appointments, debanding appointments, photos and digital scans. Candidates should be state-certified and have a minimum of 1 year chair side orthodontic dental assisting experience, and even better is an Expanded Functions Orthodontic Dental Assistant. Responsibilities Provide a welcoming, soothing and customer service focused experience for patients. Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort. Take diagnostic x-rays using standard dental radiographic equipment. Assist the Orthodontist with a high level of partnership through four handed dentistry including fabrication of retainers and guards, impressions, itero scanners and assisting with adjustments Arrive prepared for each day and review patient charts for morning huddle. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures when needed. Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patient's chart. Manage lab cases and schedule patients as needed. Assist with other office duties as requested or needed SKILLS Knowledge in Itero Scanning and Invisalign is a plus! Knowledge of Dolphin PM system Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods General understanding of health & safety regulations and the importance it plays in patient and staff safety Open to cross training to support our teamwork focused office approach. Effective time management skills and able to support a steady flow in Dr's schedule. Able to be flexible and multi-task to meet the needs of a busy schedule. Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills. Welcoming and patient personality with an ability to build rapport with others easily. Great attention to detail and follow through. Dental terminology knowledge and ability to educate patients regarding procedure High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset
