The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient care, utilizing advanced dental technology and systems such as PMS platforms, including Open Dental and Dental Intelligence. Prior experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or orthodontics is highly valued. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, fixed prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Operate and manage dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners with proper technique Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Review medical history of patients to ensure safety during procedures Maintain accurate records and documentation using PMS systems like Open Dental and Dental Intelligence Perform chairside assisting with proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality at all times Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry practices Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning is preferred Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism and compassion for patients Prior exposure to pediatric dentistry or working with children is a plus This position offers an engaging work environment where you can grow your skills while making a positive impact on patients' oral health.
