We are actively seeking to hire a full-time Dental Assistant for all locations. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant I, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dental care to our young patients while maintaining a positive and nurturing environment. This position requires the flexibility to travel to one or more locations as needed, ensuring consistent support across all practices.
Our Locations SouthPark Pediatric Dentistry Blakeney Pediatric Dentistry South Gaston Pediatric Dentistry Belmont Pediatric Dentistry Tega Cay Pediatric Dentistry Doby's Pediatric Dentistry What You'll Do:
Assist pediatric dentists during dental procedures, including cleanings, examinations, and treatments Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and equipment for each patient appointment Comfort and communicate effectively with pediatric patients, calming any anxieties and ensuring a positive dental experience Take dental X-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring adherence to safety protocols Educate parents and guardians on proper oral hygiene techniques for children and provide post-operative care instructions Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, charting, and progress notes Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas to meet infection control standards Collaborate with the front office staff to schedule appointments Assist in managing inventory of dental supplies and equipment Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting a safe and welcoming atmosphere for patients and staff Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel to various practice locations as required.
What We're Looking For:
Completion of an accredited dental assistant program X-ray certification CPR certification Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with children and their families Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Flexibility to travel to different practice locations as needed Bilingual is a plus!
