Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at a busy dental clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in the success of our clinic by providing exceptional patient care, supporting the dental team, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities:
  • Assist dentists with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms and equipment, taking x-rays, and providing patients with post-operative instructions.
  • Accompanying dentist to the surgery center for patient treatment under general anesthesia.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including radiographs and medical histories.
  • Implement infection control measures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  • Utilize dental clinic software, including Eaglesoft systems, to manage patient appointments.
  • Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, including managing pediatric patients and providing reassurance and comfort to patients of all ages.
  • Perform general dentistry procedures, such as polishing teeth, taking impressions, and preparing patients for treatment.
  • Familiarize yourself with HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care, support, and customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment, including sterilizing equipment and disposing of biohazardous materials.
  • Participate in continuing education courses to expand your knowledge of dental assisting and contribute to the growth of the dental team.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a dental assisting program or on-the-job training preferred.
  • Experience working in a dental clinic.
  • Knowledge of infection control and dental assisting procedures.
  • Familiarity with Eaglesoft systems and dental clinic software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team.
  • Certification in dental assisting or radiology preferred.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
