The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with patients and other team members in a caring and compassionate way and will have excellent time management skills. Our ideal candidate is able to multi-task efficiently and has a passion for dentistry. Prefer a candidate with previous dental assisting experience. Pay is based on experience.

Responsibilities:
Assist dentist with patient care, office operations, and other duties as needed. Communicate clearly and concisely with other dental team members as well as patients. Perform chairside dental assisting procedures in a safe and effective manner, such as preparing patients for treatments, suctioning, x-ray imaging, and prepping materials. Assist patients in understanding dental treatment options. Manage appointments for dental procedures and update patient records. Maintain dental equipment. Proficiency with multiple software packages used by dental practice. Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedule and office policies. Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards. Participate in morning huddle. Present in a clean, well-groomed professional manner.
Requirements:
Dental Assistant II per the NC Dental Board guidelines. Previous experience in a dental office is preferred. Willing to work in a patient-focused, fast paced environment. Ability to multi-task as well as to respond positively and quickly to changes in the schedule. Friendly, empathetic personality; looking for someone who helps put the patient at ease. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of dental terminology and CDT coding. Experience with dental records management. Proficiency in Dentrix software applications is an asset.
