In this energetic role, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following infection prevention management protocols Assist dentist chairside during various procedures, including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take digital X-rays and 3D scans accurately while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR systems) ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices to promote optimal patient management software utilization Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient care Support administrative tasks such as patient management, scheduling, and greeting as a dental receptionist when required Qualifications NC radiology license required. Proficiency with dental software is helpful. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and infection control standards including dental sterilization procedures Skilled in taking dental x-rays, including intraoral and extraoral images; familiarity with 3D scanners is a plus Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, aseptic technique, and medical documentation standards Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry setups Ability to maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive medical records and documentation Join us to make a difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate, expert dental care.
