Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all tools meet infection prevention management standards. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures such as X-ray imaging, endodontics treatments. Take high-quality dental X-rays using advanced equipment like 3D scanners and ensure proper medical imaging documentation. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit. Support patient management software operations to schedule appointments, update medical documentation, and facilitate smooth patient flow. Follow strict dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to uphold healthcare infection prevention and control standards. Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during clinical procedures. Assist with dental instrument processing and ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Qualifications Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry. Skilled in dental x-ray techniques including intraoral imaging and 3D scanning technology. Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently. Strong understanding of dental equipment operation and maintenance. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages while providing compassionate care. Certification in CPR and willingness to obtain relevant certifications if necessary.
