Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant II to join our growing team in our private practice! As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. If you are passionate about dentistry and have the necessary skills and knowledge, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort of patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as preparing impressions and pouring models
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Record patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft)
- Take vital signs and perform patient assessments
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations
Skills:
Dental Assisting:
Proficient in assisting dentists with various general practice procedures.Anatomy Knowledge:
Understanding of oral anatomy and dental terminologyVital Signs:
Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs of patientsX-Ray:
