Job Description

Benefits:

Hours:
Between the hours of 7:15 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week The Processing Assistant for the dental program supports clinical and community activities by handling customer service, data entry, word processing, and performing clerical duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
Greets and registers patients and visitors Interviews clients and obtains financial information, medical and personal data Ensures confidentiality of data, obtains necessary signatures for release of confidential data Maintains dental appointment schedule within specified scheduling guidelines Provides orientation to new patientsMaintains working knowledge of NC Medicaid, NC Tracks, iDentalSoft software and common insurance plans
Education/Experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent. Associates degree or higher preferred. Experience in medical or dental front office. Experience with medical/dental software and NC Tracks. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must have excellent customer service skills Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and office assistance techniques Knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic Ability to follow and apply policies and proceduresMust be able to type at a reasonable rate of speed Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain effective working relationships with clients, community partners, school administrative staff, nurses and the general public Our MissionTo improve individual and community health through services, education, and collaborative action.
