Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated full time Dental/Surgical Assistant to join our team. As a Dental/Surgical Assistant, you will assist the surgeon with various procedures and ensure excellent patient care. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail. You should be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to multitask effectively. A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others are also essential qualities for this position. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Assist the Oral Surgeon during surgical procedures and maintaining a sterile field
- Take x-rays and CBCT scans
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post operative home care instructions
- Enter patient health history, exam notes, procedure notes in EMR, maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of all patient information Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program preferred
- Previous experience in oral surgery ordental assisting is preferred
- Proficiency in infection control and sterilization techniques
- Knowledge of dental terminology and oral surgery procedures
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
