Job Description
We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to join our amazing team that is focused on outstanding patient care in a positive work environment that is focused on growth and team development.
Job Description, Duties and Expectations:
- Greets patients and makes them feel comfortable within the office.
- Review patient information for completeness, accuracy, and being up to date, including basic patient info, insurance, medical history, dental history, medications prior to initiating treatment.
- Provide Dr. Krugman with information about patients as it pertains to patient concerns, chief complaints and/or treatment needs
- Take diagnostic images as directed, if you are radiography certified. If not, once you obtain enough working hours, you will be provided the opportunity to go to radiology certification class.
- Chart and document patient's conditions and treatment plan their dental needs to restore them to health
- Assist Dr Krugman chairside with a vast variety of dental procedures. Suctioning, passing instruments, mixing dental materials, etc while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Depending on previous experience and a willingness to learn Dr Krugman will train you on the job to do any and all tasks an assistant can legally do in Nebraska. ie. take impressions, pour models, take intraoral and extraoral photos, take digital scans, CT scans, make temporary crowns and bridges, make bleaching trays, deliver appliances, and more.
- Maintain high quality infection control. Set up instruments and prepare operatories for patient treatment, then breakdown operatories, sterilize instruments and disinfect the operatory in preparation for the next patient.
- Depending on experience, you will learn to discuss risks and benefits with patients in regards to their oral health and, at times, explain periodontal, restorative or surgical procedures, options and how that can impact their oral health as well as their overall health and wellness also.
- Take vitals and obtain written consents prior to certain procedures and services per our office protocols
- Ocassionally scheduling appointments from the treatment rooms.
- Assist other staff members when available.
- Participate in
CPR, OHSA, HIPAA

Education:
High School Diploma or GED Radiology Certification is Preferred but will send the right candidate to Certification classes after 150 hours of work experience Coronal polishing certification is nice but not required. Work hours Mon-Thur 7:45am-5:15pm, 1 Friday per month 7:45am-12:15pm Pay is based on experience and changes based on job performance, attendance record. Starting at $16/hour with no/minimal experience, up to $20/hour based on proven experience and skills/certifications, maybe greater than $20/hour with enough in office longevity, valuable skills attained and observed job performance.Job Type:
