Job Overview We are looking for a friendly, dependable individual to join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures: restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments according to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix including medical documentation and coding. Process dental instruments efficiently to maintain high standards of infection control and sterilization procedures. Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies as needed. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection prevention protocols and dental sterilization procedures. Support four-handed dentistry practices by working seamlessly alongside the dentist to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Qualifications Experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures is preferred. Familiarity with Dentrix for medical documentation and records management. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care is preferred. Certification or experience in dental x-ray techniques with knowledge of radiation safety standards is preferred. Expertise in infection control practices including sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention protocols. Ability to perform chairside assisting across various specialties including restorative dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, pediatrics, and orthodontics if applicable. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
