In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all patients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to oral health excellence. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures Assist dentists chairside during various treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality Conduct vital signs assessments and document medical documentation accurately in medical records Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly Support infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is advantageous Knowledge of medical coding, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations is essential for maintaining compliance and accurate documentation Familiarity with advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and intraoral cameras is a plus Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry along with infection control standards Experience with chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and handling dental instruments efficiently Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in dental assisting while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
