The ideal candidate must be proficient in Dentrix software, skilled in comprehensive treatment planning, and radiology certified int he state of New Mexico. Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills are essential. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly in accordance with infection control standards. Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, prosthodontics, and some pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology like 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout treatments to ensure safety and well-being. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation efficiently. Maintain a clean, sterile environment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to uphold the highest standards of safety in the dental clinic. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology related to dentistry. Ability to perform chairside assisting with skills in four-handed dentistry and dental assisting best practices. Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners, and vital signs monitoring. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Certification in infection control or radiography preferred; must adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and medical records management.
