Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists and hygienists by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient management, and infection control will help us deliver top-quality care while fostering a welcoming environment for our patients. Duties Prepare treatment areas with dental instruments, materials, and equipment to ensure readiness for patient procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to infection prevention management protocols. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding. Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization following strict aseptic techniques to maintain clinical confidentiality policies. Monitor vital signs and assist with patient care before, during, and after procedures to ensure comfort and safety. Support front desk operations by handling patient management software tasks, scheduling appointments, and maintaining excellent patient care standards. Requirements Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment, and clinical procedures including dental sterilization procedures and dental x-ray techniques. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar medical documentation platforms is a plus. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage patient care compassionately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
