$20.00 -25.00 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, energetic, and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our fast-paced orthodontic team! The ideal candidate is passionate about helping patients achieve beautiful, confident smiles and thrives in a team-focused environment. You will work closely with our orthodontist to provide exceptional chairside care, prepare patients for treatment, and manage daily clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities Chairside Assisting:
Assist the orthodontist with bracket bonding, wire adjustments, repairs, and appliance fittings.
Patient Prep & Comfort:
Greet patients, prepare treatment chair, and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit.
Digital Imaging:
Take high-quality digital X-rays (panoramic/cephalometric) and intraoral scans (e.g., iTero) for treatment planning.
Orthodontic Procedures:
Perform routine adjustments, such as removing/replacing archwires, elastic bands, and ligatures.
Patient Education:
Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care.
Sterilization & Infection Control:
Maintain strict sterilization protocols for instruments and operatories, adhering to CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines.
Lab Work:
Pour models, make impressions, and fabricate retainers or mouthguards as needed.
Documentation:
Update patient charts and clinical notes accurately in our patient management software. Required Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Atleast 1 yr of orthodontic assistant experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Strong verbal communication skills to explain procedures to patients of all ages. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Why Join Our Team?
