Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Lead Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and support the dental assisting staff, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations. Your expertise will enhance the patient experience by maintaining high standards of clinical excellence, infection control, and team collaboration. Duties Supervise and mentor dental assistants to uphold best practices in clinical procedures and patient care Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Manage patient flow efficiently using patient management software and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, sterilize equipment following infection prevention management protocols, and ensure aseptic techniques are rigorously followed Take high-quality dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient assessments Coordinate with the dental reception team to schedule appointments, manage medical records, and ensure smooth communication across departments Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with a solid understanding of general dentistry procedures and clinical workflows Demonstrated proficiency in chairside assisting, including four-handed dentistry techniques and dental instrument processing Familiarity with dental equipment such as X-ray machines, digital imaging tools, and 3D scanners Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and healthcare safety protocols Experience using patient management software for scheduling, documentation, and record keeping Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a Lead Dental Assistant is highly desirable Join us in delivering exceptional dental care through your expertise, enthusiasm, and leadership!
