Eastchester, NY Job Details Full-time $25 - $35 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Mandarin Customer communication Teamwork Dental assisting Interpersonal skills English Attention to detail Dental x-ray Chinese Full Job Description Tooth Fairy Endodontics, P.C. is a boutique endodontic practice with locations in Flushing, Queens and Eastchester, Westchester County. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, detail-oriented Mandarin Chinese-speaking Dental Assistant / Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a full-time, 4-day-per-week position for someone who is interested in becoming a well-rounded member of our practice. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both chairside and at the front desk, or be eager and capable of learning both roles through cross-training. A key part of this position is the flexibility to work at both our Flushing or Eastchester office depending on the needs of the practice. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between both locations. Responsibilities Chairside / Clinical Assist the endodontist with root canals, retreatments, consultations, and surgical procedures Prepare and set up treatment rooms, instruments, and materials Assist with dental microscope procedures Take digital dental X-rays Prepare and organize instruments and treatment materials Perform sterilization and infection control procedures Clean, disinfect, organize, and restock treatment rooms Monitor clinical inventory and supplies Perform regular inventory checks and communicate when supplies need to be reordered Help maintain an organized, efficient, and well-prepared clinical environment Provide a calm, reassuring experience for patients, particularly those who may be anxious about dental treatment Front Desk / Administrative Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out Answer phones and respond to patient questions Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits Assist with treatment estimates and insurance-related questions Collect copays and patient payments Communicate with referring dental offices Maintain accurate patient records Assist with patient follow-up and general office organization Help monitor office supplies and coordinate restocking as needed What We Are Looking For Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English required Previous dental assisting experience preferred Front desk, dental scheduling, or dental insurance experience is a strong plus Warm, friendly, compassionate personality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented and organized Reliable, punctual, and responsible Comfortable learning new systems and taking on varied responsibilities Able to work independently while also being a strong team player Professional and patient-focused demeanor Willingness and ability to work at both our Flushing and Eastchester locations as needed Reliable transportation between locations Comfortable working in a specialty dental practice Adaptable and proactive, with a willingness to cross-train and help wherever needed You do not need to already be experienced in both chairside assisting and front desk responsibilities. We are happy to cross-train the right person who is dependable, eager to learn, and capable of taking ownership of their responsibilities. Schedule Full-time, 4 days per week The schedule will include time at both our Flushing and Eastchester offices depending on practice needs. Flexibility regarding which location you work at on a given day is required. As our practice continues to grow, there may be opportunities for additional hours or an expanded schedule in the future. Specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview. Compensation $25-$35 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Candidates with strong dental assisting experience, fluent Mandarin and English, and the ability to independently handle both chairside and front desk responsibilities may be considered toward the higher end of the range.
