Job Description

Job Overview:
Comizio OrthodonTics is seeking an experienced, and preferably NYS licensed, Orthodontic Assistant to join our progressive and customer service-based orthodontic office, which provides a majority of Invisalign based orthodontic care. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our orthodontists and ensuring top-notch patient care.
Duties:
  • Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and treatment procedures
  • Take digital X-Rays and Itero digital scans
  • Maintain aseptic techniques during all clinical procedures
  • Handle orthodontic procedures and patient home care instructions efficiently
  • Process high volume Invisalign cases
  • Demonstrate proficiency in orthodontic terminology
  • Manage our practice management systems
  • Assist with orthodontic treatments as needed, direct patient care if NYS licensed
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols
  • Assist/place orthodontic wires and Invisalign attachments
  • Uphold HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
Experience:
  • Orthodontic experience, and prior experience as an NYS Licensed Orthodontic Assistant preferred
  • Proficiency in X-Ray procedures digital scanning
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques in a dental setting
  • Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and patient home care instructions
  • Knowledge of orthodontic imaging software and terminology
  • Experience with orthodontic practice management systems
  • Ability to maintain high standards of infection control
