Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in dental terminology, and infection control protocols. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics procedures. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. Prior experience with EMR systems such as Open Dental. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in medical documentation, radiography, and aseptic techniques to maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene.

45 AM -5:00 PM Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials using aseptic technique Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging as required Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Maintain sterilization protocols to ensure infection control standards are met Assist with administrative duties including answering phones, verifying insurance, and managing medical documentation Support four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures Ensure all dental equipment is properly maintained and sanitized between patients Skills Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control practices Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Experience assisting with pediatric dentistry procedures is preferred Competence in taking vital signs and understanding medical imaging techniques including 3D scanners when applicable Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team to provide top-quality dental care while advancing your career in a supportive environment that values expertise and professionalism.
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
