Job Description
We're seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to support chairside procedures and deliver excellent patient care. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience, strong clinical skills, and a patient-first mindset. Key Responsibilities Chairside assist for restorative, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthetics, and examinations. Prepare operatories; retrieve charts/records and escort patients to the appropriate area. Perform dental prophylaxis and screening exams; complete dental and periodontal charting. Place temporary fillings; place and remove rubber dams as directed by the dentist. Take radiographs (standard and digital, including panoramic); perform QA on radiographic/developing equipment and safelight. Clean, sharpen, sterilize instruments; maintain and disinfect equipment per protocol. Document treatment notes accurately and timely in patient records. Qualifications New York State Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) required (NYSED-recognized credential); current CPR/BLS. 1+ year dental assisting experience in a clinical setting. Proficiency with digital radiography (including panoramic) and dental software; strong knowledge of NYS infection control standards. Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail; reliable and team-oriented. Schedule, Pay, and Benefits Full-time schedule; details discussed during interviews.
