Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic and fast-paced position, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and provide compassionate service to patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. Duties Assist dentists chairside during general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialty procedures with precision and efficiency Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained according to infection control standards Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology and 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; update medical history, vital signs, and medical documentation accurately Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records with attention to detail Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times Assist with medical coding and documentation for insurance claims and billing processes Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and vital signs measurement Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology necessary for accurate documentation Experience working with advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment is advantageous Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices related to dental procedures Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment practicing four-handed dentistry to enhance patient comfort and procedure flow Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to providing outstanding dental care!
