Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient comfort. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient, whether they're visiting for routine check-ups or complex dental treatments. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures such as cleanings, restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology like 3D scanners while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage patient records efficiently using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Open Dental ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding accurately during procedures. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort. Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding related to dental procedures. Experience is preferred. Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training; additional certifications in endodontics or prosthodontics are a plus. Pay:
$15.00 - $22.00 per hour
