About the role We are seeking an experienced and motivated EFDA to join our growing team. You will work alongside our dentists to deliver efficient, high-quality care in a practice that sees a high volume of patients daily. No two days are the same — this role demands someone who is organized, quick on their feet, and genuinely passionate about dentistry. Key responsibilities Place and finish direct composite restorations under dentist supervision Take and expose digital radiographs (x-rays) accurately and efficiently Assist with a wide range of procedures including extractions, root canals, and crown preparations Prepare, seat, and cement crowns, bridges, and other indirect restorations Perform coronal polishing and fluoride treatments Maintain proper sterilization and infection control protocols at all times Manage multiple operatories simultaneously to keep the schedule flowing smoothly Take accurate impressions and perform bite registrations Provide excellent chairside manner and patient communication throughout each visit Support front desk coordination for schedule management during high-volume periods Requirements Active Ohio EFDA certification — required Current radiography certification Minimum 1-2 years of dental assisting experience preferred Ability to thrive under pressure and manage a high patient volume with professionalism Strong multitasking skills and the ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced setting Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a positive attitude Familiarity with dental software (Open Dental or similar is a plus) Current CPR/BLS certification What we offer Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience Dental benefits Paid time off and holidays Continuing education support and professional development A supportive, upbeat team that celebrates wins together Consistent, full-time hours with a stable schedule Ready to bring your EFDA skills to a practice that truly values your expertise?
