Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting orthodontists in delivering high-quality treatments. Duties Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with scheduling appointments. Support the orthodontist with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience. Qualifications Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, but will train the right candidate. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff. A commitment to providing compassionate care to patients of all ages.
