•3,000 Dollar sign on Bonus! Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our amazing dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing advanced chairside procedures, assisting with complex dental treatments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while making a positive impact on patients oral health and overall well being. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Perform chairside assisting duties such as taking vital signs, medical imaging (X-ray and 3D scanner), and applying aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Manage electronic health records using Dentrix, to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding. Prepare treatment areas and sterilize instruments following strict infection control protocols aligned with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote patient understanding and compliance. Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records with attention to detail. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team and with patients. Requirements Valid Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification or license as required by state law. Proven experience in general dentistry settings with proficiency in dental assisting procedures including X-ray, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing patient records efficiently. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes. Ability to perform advanced chairside assisting tasks including prosthodontics and endodontics procedures confidently. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain treatments clearly to patients of all ages. Join our Team!! Pay:
$35.00 - $41.00 per hour
