Job Description

FRIDAY Dental Assisting Position Available•Join our family owned dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic position, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help us maintain the highest standards of oral health care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to improving smiles every day. Pay is correlated with experience. Duties Assist dentists chairside during general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures with precision and confidence Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed to maintain infection control standards Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging devices while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and assisting patients with paperwork in compliance with HIPAA guidelines Perform dental terminology explanations and assist with medical coding to ensure proper billing and insurance processing Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by following infection control protocols and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA standards Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Softdent and Dexis is a plus Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely and effectively Excellent communication skills to assist patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, and coordinate with the dental team seamlessly Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy standards Certification in chairside assisting; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are advantageous Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference!
