Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Perform dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
- Assist with medical coding and billing for dental procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred
- Proficiency in using dental office management software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Epic)
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding
Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills to manage patient records and appointment schedules
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and dental team members effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and instrument sterilization
- Ability to take and develop dental X-rays safely and accurately
- Familiarity with medical coding for dental procedures As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice.
Your responsibilities will include assisting during procedures, managing patient records, taking X-rays, and providing patient education.
