Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. Our office is a private practice , and the dentist is great to work with! This position involves providing exceptional patient care, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, proficient knowledge of dental and medical terminology, and excellent customer service abilities. Previous dental office experience is highly valued to enhance patient communication and support. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk with professionalism and courtesy Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle patient check-in/out processes Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and assist with billing procedures Maintain accurate medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring patient comfort Review documentation including care plans, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical billing documentation Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries with proper phone etiquette, and handle appointment rescheduling Ensure clinic cleanliness and organization of supplies and medical records Support health information management by reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness Requirements Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting; dental clinic experience preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and insurance billing processes Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your clinical expertise and administrative skills will contribute directly to patient care excellence.
