Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly, dedicated, and compassionate EFDA to join our new Pediatric dental office team. In this role, you will work closely with Dr. Mike to provide high-quality dental care to children in a friendly and fast paced environment. We are looking for a full time or part-time dental assistant. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are prepared and available. Take X-rays as required, following safety protocols to ensure patient protection. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, utilizing medical coding and terminology. Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Complete Child Prophylaxis, assist in General anesthesia cases, etc. Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations. Collaborate with team members to create a positive dental experience for patients. Requirements Previous experience in pediatric dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with dental systems and equipment, including X-ray machines, prophys, etc. Strong understanding of pediatric anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Fuse software experience Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and their families. Warm personality and a passion to help give kids great fun and interactive dental experiences Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. EFDA Certification or training in dental assisting program is preferred but not mandatory.
