Pediatric Expanded Function Dental Assistant EFDA

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dental office in Allentown, PA. The EFDA will provide high-level clinical support by performing advanced chairside assisting duties and delegated dental procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist.

Schedule :

Part-Time (2-3 days a week) 8AM-4

PM Tuesdays and Fridays Pay :

$30-$35 /hour Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including endodontics and general dentistry tasks. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Perform dental radiography (X-Ray) as needed and ensure proper documentation of medical records. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating accurate dental impressions. Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is stocked and ready for use. Perform coronal polishing and apply sealants and fluoride treatments. Take impressions for diagnostic casts and provisional crowns. Fabricate temporary crowns, bridges, and provisional restorations. Qualifications Current EFDA certification/license (as required by the state). Experience as a dental assistant or EFDA preferred.
