In this energetic role, you will support dentists in delivering top-quality treatment while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines, maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage patient records efficiently within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to promote a positive experience. Provide chairside assistance by managing dental terminology, assisting with dental instrumentation, and supporting the dentist throughout treatments. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and maintaining organized medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Eaglesoft software Intraoral Dandy scan ( 3shape scanner) 2 Days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-5 Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and specialized fields like pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or endodontics. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus. Ability to operate medical imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
