In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays while maintaining proper aseptic technique. Manage patient records accurately ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Perform vital signs assessments and document medical history to support comprehensive patient care. Maintain strict infection control standards and ensure all clinical areas adhere to OSHA guidelines for safety and hygiene. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with dental terminology and coding practices for accurate documentation. Proficiency in using dental software Eaglesoft for managing patient data and medical records. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while demonstrating excellent communication skills with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and radiation safety protocols. Certification in X-ray technology is preferred; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are a plus. Knowledge of medical imaging technology including 3D scanners is advantageous.
