Bucks County Community College is seeking a qualified dental assisting professional to serve as a part-time Dental Assistant Instructor. This position is an opportunity to share your industry knowledge and experience while preparing students for successful careers in dental assisting.

Compensation:
$50 per hour Position Responsibilities The Dental Assistant Instructor will develop and deliver engaging instruction covering essential topics in dental assisting, including: History of Dentistry and Dental Assisting Roles and Responsibilities of a Dental Assistant Legal Aspects of Dentistry Oral Anatomy Dental Equipment Radiography Additional responsibilities include: Preparing students for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam Developing and administering course assessments Evaluating and documenting student progress Maintaining accurate attendance and progress records Participating in information sessions, recruiting events, and other program activities as needed. Minimum Qualifications Experience in the field of Dental Assisting Dental Assisting National Board Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) certification Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification preferred Previous teaching experience highly desired Knowledge of Zoom or Microsoft Teams preferred The Dental Assistant course is currently a hybrid course that meets two evenings each week. One evening is live online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams and the other evening session is on campus. Each course is 100 hours and is taught in the fall and spring semesters.
