Join Our Team as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) Knox County Community Health Center Mount Vernon & Danville, Ohio Full-Time Position (Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm) Who We Are At Knox County Community Health Center, we're more than a dental practice—we're a team dedicated to transforming smiles and improving lives. Why This Role Matters As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA), you'll be a key player in delivering high-quality care and creating positive patient experiences. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes—helping people feel confident, healthy, and cared for. What You'll Do Bring your skills to life in a hands-on, fast-paced environment: Perform expanded duties such as, but not limited to, placing composite and GI restorations, Sealant placement, Silver Diamine Fluoride placement Work chairside with dentists—anticipating needs and ensuring smooth, efficient procedures Contribute to the dental team by helping with instrument sterilization, operatory disinfection and equipment maintenance Capture and process dental X-rays Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Maintain accurate patient records and support daily office operations Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment What You Bring We're looking for someone who is both skilled and passionate about patient care: Completion of an accredited EFDA program Current EFDA certification (REQUIRED) Current X-ray certification (REQUIRED) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Attention to detail and commitment to excellence What We Offer We take care of our team so you can take care of our patients: Competitive pay based on experience Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan through OPERS Generous paid time off (vacation, sick time, holidays) Ongoing training and continuing education opportunities A supportive team culture where you can grow and succeed Ready to Make an Impact?
